Life of Prophet (SAW) key to success: PU VC ![]() LAHORE: (Tuesday, November 12, 2019): Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof Niaz Ahmad has stressed the need to implement the teachings of Hazrat Muhammad SAWW in our practical life to get success in this as well as eternal world. He was addressing the annual Seerat Conference organized by PU Faculty of Islamic Studies here on Tuesday. Faculty of Islamic Studies Dean Prof Dr Hammad Lakhvi, Institute of Islamic Studies Director Prof Dr Saad Siddiqui, Sheikh Zayad Islamic Centre Director Prof Dr Muhammad Ijaz, Dr Hafiz Muhammad Abdullah, faculty members and a large number of students were present on the occasion. Addressing the conference, PU VC Prof Niaz Ahmad stated the basic reason behind our failures today was that we did not recognize Allah and ourselves. He said that Allah had not created such a vast universe meaninglessly. He said that Allah had declared Islam as the best religion and we must live our lives as per principles of Islam. He said that the life of Hazrat Muhammad (SAWW) was role model for us and we must preach his lesson to all. Prof Dr Hammad Lakhvi said that our biggest problem was that we don’t know what our real problem was. He said that four things were damaging our thinking that illiteracy, looking towards West to seek solution of problems, following so-called “scholars” who make everything legal by distorting teachings of Islam and spread the ideology of violent Islam. Dr Saad Siddiqui stressed the need to establish justice at all levels in our society. He said that we blamed others for problems but did not review our own behavior. He said that we have kept ourselves away from the social justice system enforced by Hazrat Muhammad SAWW. He said that we must study the life of Hazrat Muhammad (SAWW). Meanwhile, Pro Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Saleem Mazhar inaugurated three-day book exhibition on the life of Hazrat Muhammad SAWW at PU Library. Centre for Coal Technology organized seminar on Seerat un Nabi in which Prof Dr Zahid Munir Amir highlighted various aspects of teachings of Hazrat Muhammad (SAWW). ![]() Tweet Follow @pu_lhr_official |
