PU Academic Council condemns French President, Peshawar blast


LAHORE: (Tuesday, October 27, 2020): Punjab University Academic Council has strongly condemned the French president over his negative remarks against Islam and also denounced the Peshawar seminary blast. The meeting was presided over by PU Vice Chancellor Prof Niaz Ahmad in which deans of all faculties, heads of departments and professors participated. Addressing the meeting, PU VC Prof Niaz Ahmad said that the Muslims could not compromise over the respect of Hazrat Muhammad SAWW and ready to sacrifice their lives. He said that the Pakistan Army and other law enforcement agencies had defeated terrorists in war on terror by sacrificing their lives and terrorists could not harm us through such cowardly attacks. The Academic Council recommended revision of curriculum of various degree programs, restructuring of various departments and approved the proceedings of the previous meeting.
