LAHORE: Prof. Dr. Umbreen Javaid, Director, Centre for South Asian Studies, University of the Punjab. Lahore organized a webinar on "Indian Atrocities in IOK: Its Possible Implications and way forward". Dr. Tehmina Aslam Ranjha, Assistant Professor, School of Integrated Social Sciences, University of Lahore & Research Fellow, UoL Centre for Security Strategy and Policy Research and Mr.Ammad Malik, Lecturer, Department of Political Science, Forman Christian College, Lahore were the speakers. Dr. Tehmina Aslam Ranjha enlightened the students on the issue of Indian atrocities in Indian Occupied Kashmir, its implications and its way forward. She further stated that the Kashmir conflict will have regional as well as global implications. In this regard Pakistan should escalate its diplomatic, moral and political efforts to get the attention of the international community on human rights violations in Kashmir.
Mr. Ammad Malik declared that rising Hindutva ideology under the flag of RSS and fascist ideology of RSS that is non Hindu-Communities living in India either have to accept Hindutva or leave the country. Moreover RSS under BJP government encourages the people to take part in this considering it as 'sacred duty'. Faculty members, M.Phil/Ph.D scholars of the Centre for South Asian Studies, University of the Punjab. Lahore attended the webinar that was followed by a question and answer session in which research scholars and the students actively participated.
